Harrogate Railway Athletic FC are excited to announce Nigel Danby as the New Manager at Station View.

Former Central Defender under Paul Marshall and more recently Assistant to Phil Sharpe, Nigel takes the No. 1 spot and is set to lead The Rail into The New Evo-Stik League Division 1 North.

Nigel has been fast to act and has secured his former Assistant while Manager at AFC Goole Mick Norbury. He has also appointed former Railway Talisman Steve Ugga Davey as Coach.
Players have already agreed terms to return for the new season under Danby lead by Last Seasons Captain Liam Gray, along with local lads Danny Thirkell and Paul Stansfield.
Also back for the new campaign are Kevin Ryan, James Mann, Dan Verity, Steve Palfrey with others poised to agree once back from Holidays. New Recruits already confirmed are Goal Sensation Duncan Bray, Luke Jeffs, Chris Tate & Dean Lackie. Danby is also chasing former Barnsley, Sheffield United, Wigan Athletic, Oldham Athletic and Rotherham United Midfielder Andy Liddle.

Nigel is also committed to promoting the local young talent coming through the Reserves and Under 19 Teams. Railway Junior sides enjoyed their best haul of honours this season with the Under 16’s 17’s and 18’s doing exceptionally well. These boys need a target, an end goal a 1st Team Playing at a Good Standard of Football. Harrogate Railway are the only Club in the area that can provide a path from under 6 to open age football at a semi professional level.
