Railway Reserves were busy on Saturday with both teams in League action.
Guiseley Res 2 Harrogate Railway Res 0
The Lancashire Football League East Division saw Railway away at Guiseley. Former Rail manager Vince Brockie now in charge of Guiseley Reserves took the points after a spirited display from the Rail failed to reap any reward. All square after 70 minutes Rail conceded a penalty and with it the game as Rail never recovered from going behind.
Knaresborough Celtic 7 Harrogate Railway Res "A" 5
A real goal fest saw Railway storm to a 5 - 2 lead with 30 minutes to go. However the inexperience of Rails young guns showed and Railway collapsed allowing Celtic to take the points with a monster finish to the game.
Lessons to be learnt from Harrogate Railways First game in the Harrogate & District League Division 1. This is what we are in this League for to learn, to develop and to progress the club in a positive manner bringing in local talent use in our first team.
