With 3 Central Defenders out of action Rail have drafted in some reinforcements

Matthew Dempsey has left the club after impressing at a Glen Hoddle Academy Trial Match. He is now winging his way to their Academy Home in Spain with the hope of finding Professional Football at the end of his time there. I’m sure all at Harrogate Railway wish Matt every success as we all could see he had great potential and should do well at any level.

Steve Robinson is now suspended thanks to the antiquated rules of the County FA. Robbo was sent off during our pre season fixture against Glapwell and received a 21 day ban.

Verity is available for selection prior to his 3 match ban for his sending off against Consett FC but is doubtful after suffering a calf pull in last weeks disappointing defeat at Skelmersdale.

So in comes Ex Guiseley’s Reserve player Daniel Husband, a p roduct of Vince Brockies Team at Guiseley and if he brings his ethics of work and determination he will be a great addition to the squad.

Our other late signing is that of Chris Clarke. Making a handful of appearances last season in the Red & Green Chris is answering the call from his old mate Phil Sharpe to provide cover through our defensive crisis.
